(Eup.). 5. ἡστικός `pleasant' (S. E.).Etymology: An exact formal counterpart is Skt. ἅπ. λεγ. svādate `become tasty(?)' (RV. 9, 68, 2; of soma); much more usual however is svadate, -ti `enjoy, taste well' resp. `make tasty, sweeten'. On -a- see Lubotsky, MSS 40 (1981) 133-8.
